The Hindu has joined forces with WorkL, a global employee experience platform that measures, tracks and improves employee engagement and employee happiness at work, to highlight the best places to work in India. The initiative intends to recognise Indian workspaces that prioritise employee engagement and well-being.

The Hindu Best Places to Work Awards are open for organisations across India. Businesses entering the exercise will understand their own ‘Flight Risk’ score, their overall engagement score, their Confidence in Management indicator, NPS, their Six Steps to Workplace Engagement Scores, and have their data benchmarked against global and industry scores.

Those opting for the enhanced option will receive their own personalised Instant Action Planning, Action plans around WorkL’s Six Steps to Workplace Happiness, ability to filter results by several demographics such as age, and length of service and other additional benefits.

Employee survey

The programme involves participants sending employees a survey via personalised link, featuring 29 questions centred around WorkL’s employee engagement theory. Developed by behavioural scientists, psychologists, business leaders and others, the survey monitors employee engagement and wellbeing in the workplace.

The awards will recognise organisations with the highest levels of employee engagement, wellbeing and satisfaction across four main categories depending on their size — Small, Medium, Big and Very Big Organisation.

“Launching these awards with The Hindu will help employers in India to better understand their workforce as well as support employees looking for the Best Places to Work,” Lord Mark Price, Founder of WorkL, said.

LV Navaneeth, CEO of The Hindu Group, said, “These awards will recognise Indian workplaces that prioritise employee wellbeing and engagement, helping them stand out in an increasingly competitive talent landscape. With WorkL’s robust, science-backed framework, this initiative offers not just recognition, but real insights to help organisations grow from within. We invite businesses across India to participate and be celebrated as truly great places to work.”

The deadline for entries is February 28, 2026, with results announced in early 2026.
